Senegalese President Macky Sall agreed to the returning of the citizens who died abroad from COVID-19 infection back.
The government of Senegal had disagreed to returning the bodies of citizens in countries like France, Italy and the US to steam the spread of the Coronavirus in April.
A group of families, whose member had died abroad south to overturn the ban lost a Supreme Court case earlier this month, but was ruled by judges that the government had followed medical precautions.
In a televised address on Monday night, Sall lifted the ban.
