No Medication Has been Agreed To Be Effective and Licensed to Cure Coronavirus

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on Coronavirus, Dr Sani Aliyu, said on channels TV on Wednesday, 6th of May that no medication has been confirmed and  licenced to cure Coronavirus.

“I must make it clear at the moment, there is no medication that has been confirmed to be effective and licenced for for COVID-19 infection, None!” He said

He also said that the United State of America has given temporal approval for the use of Remdesivir, an antiviral drug that was developed for the treatment of Ebola Virus which was found to improve recovery in Coronavirus patient, for a clinical trial while the cure for the COVID-19 is still in search.

The Minister of Health,  Dr Osagie Ehanire, said something similar last week that there was no cure yet for covid-19 and research is still ongoing although has been said to be a drug that might be useful in curing COVID-19.
